Last year I wanted to watch Blu ray discs on PC and learned that the PC Blu ray scene is confusing. I'm wondering if anything's changed since I looked into this: what are the ways you can do Blu ray on PC? Stuff like PowerDVD? VLC still doesn't really support it, right? ![]() ![]() Rip DRM and then play VLC? My head hurts already. According to threads like, the commercial software is always bad. Amazon reviews of PowerDVD tell the same story. I'd totally pay for software if I thought I could trust it. Music is so much more simple. Mac osx10.6.8 (Snow leopard) installed on SSD, and the movies on a 1tb internal in my old SuperDrive bay. I use the Android plex app to watch them on a gen 1 Chromecast or the Plex app on my Vizio 4k smart TV. On my new mac there is a Chromecast preset that I've been using, but otherwise I justed used normal. Always open to suggestions. I want to keep a movie to ~1gb • • • • •. You just install the program on your computer and tell it which folder the media i in and it does it all for you, it isn't anything near what the word server makes it sound like in terms of difficulty.
